Stack
The number of chips that a player has in front of her/him is called the player’s stack. The size of the stack is equivalent to the amount of money that the player has either bought in for, or the amount of money that the player has after winning or losing in the game. The stack consists of chips that hold an equivalent monetary value inside the casino, card room or tournament area.
In other scenarios, a stack of 20 such chips is also known as a stack and these chips are usually displayed or stored in this form, according to denominations, to be arranged in an orderly fashion.
