If a player decides to play with a hand that is worth nothing amongst the poker hands, then s/he is said to have a snow. Players often use a snow hand when they are looking to bluff and in such scenarios, it is quite common to have people bid on cards that are not the best.

The hand, that is not worth anything and is being talked about, is called snow.
