Sit and go
There are some poker tournaments where there is no fixed starting time. In such a case, the players can join a table whenever they desire and as soon as the required number of buy ins are received, the tournament gets underway. Such tournaments are called sit and go.
Most sit and go tournaments are meant to be single table tournaments where, anywhere between, 9-10 players compete for the prize. It, however, isn’t entirely uncommon to come across a multi-table sit and go tournament in many parts of the world.
