Sevens rule
The sevens rule is applicable in most low ball games where a player would need to have a card that is either 7 or below it, to be able to place a bet. In games such as A-5 lowball, if a player does not have a seven or lower card, and still makes a bet, s/he will be forced to either fold for that hand or in some casinos, have to forfeit their entire stack.
This ensures that there is a strict standard that is being followed through the game and no one can simply raise the pot to benefit another player, as in the case of collusion.
