Second pair
In community card poker, due to the five cards being placed on the board, there are chances that more than one player may end up with a pair. Assuming that pairs are the decisive hand for a particular round, the player with the highest pair will always end up winning the pot. In such a scenario, a player with the second highest pair is said to have the second pair. Although s/he won’t win anything out of the pot, s/he is said to have the second pair.
