Rebuy

In tournaments, to get into the action, a player has to “buy-in” or exchange her/his money for chips. However, if s/he is thrown out of the game at any point, then the player can get back in again, through a rebuy. This simply means that the player re-submits the tournament entry fee, or the rebuy fee, and get back into the thick of things. In some cases, the rebuy amount and the tournament entry fee may not be the same.

Rebuying isn’t allowed in all circumstances and in only some tournaments are players allowed to rebuy once or a multitude of times. There is a pre-condition though and it states that the players’ stacks, at the time of issuing a rebuy, should be either equal to or below the initial limit that the players start with.
