Made hand
A made hand is that kind of hand in poker that doesn’t require any other card to complete the sequence that is being created to win the hand. In comparison, a drawing hand is one where a player is looking to complete the sequence by creating a winning hand. For e.g. in a game of hold’em, a person with a pair has a made hand however a player who is drawing to a straight has a drawing hand. Even though the first player has a completed hand and probably a winning one too, the situation will change if the second player completes her/his draw and gets the straight.
However, if things remain unchanged, then the first player would win without requiring the draw of another card and when s/he has such a hand, it is said to be a made hand.
