Floorman, floorperson
At every casino, game room or tournament, there is always a floor employee who is in-charge of supervising all the games that happen on the floor. The floorman, as s/he is known, is responsible for the situation on the tables including any disputes that may occur. The floorman is also known to manage the dealers while keeping games filled and balanced.
A regular employee of the venue, the floorman is an extremely important person for the entire game table and surrounding area and is primarily responsible for the smooth functioning of each table under her/his jurisdiction.
In case of any issues or disputes, players can call “floor” to summon the floorman or floorperson and resolve any dispute that may have occurred. In case a player wants to change her/his seat or even shift to a new table altogether, then it is the floorperson who has to be called in to make the change. To avail other features of the casino, whilst playing a game, the floorperson is the man to call and they are trained to handle all kinds of requirements.
