Drop
Dropping is a way of indicating to the other players as well as the dealer that a player decides to fold or drop out of the game. In poker, a player may choose to continue playing with a hand or even decide to get out of the way and simply wait for the next round.
In such a case, the player may drop the cards back onto the table from the hands, or simply declare “fold” or “drop” as her/his action for the particular set of cards. It is always considered a good practice to drop or fold on a player’s own turn and not declare her/his intentions when it is some other player’s turn to bet or declare actions.
