Deal twice
Deal twice otherwise known as play twice, is a pattern of play that is applicable in cash poker games only. The concept basically creates a best-of-two deals situation which begins when the pot has swelled up to quite a considerable size along with one player being all-in for the round.
In such a case, the remaining players may decide to go about playing in another way that mainly involves dealing the cards twice again. The dealer, at this point, takes the remaining cards and deals them out twice again. This way, the players have two sets of cards excluding the first one dealt to them as the original round.
The winner is the player who wins both hands and is therefore given all the chips. However, if a player just happens to win one hand, losing the other, then the pot is split between the two players. A Deal Twice situation can occur only and only when both players agree to have two more deals rather than simply playing it out with their original hands.
