Call the clock
In poker, a player has endless time to take action unless of course forced to hurry up by his fellow competitors. While a player may take as long as s/he wants to make a move, any of the other players may, in a bid to force a move, decide to call the clock.
As soon as a player calls the clock, the player, who has to make the move, has a limited amount of time during which s/he needs to take an action. If during that time period also, the player fails to make up her/his mind, then the hand is automatically forfeited or folded.
The practice of calling time is not so common in home games however, in public casinos and especially tournaments there is a definite restriction on the amount of time a player can take. In tournaments, there is a universal rule followed around the world which states that even if none of the players call the clock while a player is taking his own time, the dealer or floor personnel have complete authority to do so themselves.
