Boxed card
A boxed card is a card that appears face-up in the deck during the deal. Unlike an overturned card that, during the action of dealing, lands face up, a boxed card is set aside in most cases. There are different ways of dealing with a boxed card.
While some houses decide to reshuffle the cards after replacing the boxed card in face down, and then deal them again, others choose to set it aside and then ignore the card for the remainder of the round. This is somewhat detrimental to the game as a player, due to no fault of hers/his, may be deprived of an important card that could have otherwise made the game.
Therefore it is considered better for the house to reshuffle or include the card in some way or the other.
