Back in

Back in occurs when a player comes into the pot after having passed it. This is an occurrence in games such as pass-and-back-in games, or Jackpots. It basically means to enter the pot without any openers.

A back in could be the result of having a blind, coupled with the non-existence of a raise. This is also known as coming into a pot cheaply. A player could also back in by checking and then calling another player’s open, in the first betting round itself.
