Ante off

An ante off is given to a player to indicate that s/he has a pending ante, bring in, blind or any other form of forced bet pending. This usually happens when a player needs to move from the table for some reason. An ante off ensures that the game remains fair, and that any player who might be away from the table to even miss a deal, is made to pay any antes or blinds that have been incurred during this time.

For example, if Player A has to leave the table to grab a bite from the refrigerator, then Player A is given an ante off, which indicates that when he returns to the table he will have to pay any antes that may have been enforced during his absence.
