Trips
In trips, a player has three cards of the same kind to complete her/his hand. However, unlike three of a kind, there is a slight difference in trips and three of a kind. In three of a kind, a pair held in the hand is combined with a third card from the board to make three of the same kind. However in trips, a single card in hand is combined with two cards on the board to make the hand.
For e.g. if a player receives a hand 4-4 and the board shows up as 6-7-9-4-3, then the player has a three of a kind. However, if the player has a 4-9 and the board shows up as 5-9-J-A-9, then the player has a trips.
