A player who plays an extremely tight style, is said to be a rock. As a rock, a player is seen to play very few hands and clearly continues with strong hands only. Another meaning of the term rock refers to a bundle of chips held together by a rubber band. It can also be used as a live straddle and a player who’s under the gun, if s/he has the rock, then s/he has to post it as a compulsory live straddle. Each player who wins the rock as a live straddle has to post it when her/his time comes to do so.
