Put on
When a player decides to put someone on, they are effectively trying to figure out exactly what hand that player has based on the facial or bodily expressions of that player. Players also use their knowledge of play and playing styles to decipher the cards that the player may have and in most cases, it is the experienced players and old horses who try to put someone on.
