Flop game
A flop game is a game where the flop is an integral part of the betting rounds in the game. Games like the Texas Hold’em and Omaha Hold’em are known as flop games as they include the flop as one of the rounds of betting that is part of every hand. In most Hold’em games, the flop is basically a round where three cards are dealt face up on the board. These cards are meant for the benefit of all the players and are known as community cards.
The double board hold’em is a variation on the normal hold’em games where although there is a flop, as in every flop game, but with a small difference. The double board hold’em, as the name suggests, has two boards and therefore, has two flops and two turns followed by two rivers as well.
East village is another flop game which is a general variation of the Omaha High-Low split. Seven cards are placed on the board and shuffled with five of them forming the community cards. Three of those five community cards that are flipped first, are the flop for this form of game.
London Bridge is another flop game where the players get 4 cards each. Upon declaration of the flop, each player still a part of the game needs to get rid of one of those 4 cards.
The flop is a major turning point in most poker games and since the largest number of cards revealed are during a flop, there is no doubt that it is what players like to wait for even when they do not have a favourable hand, in the hope that things might turn for the better.
