A form of aggressive play, it refers to the act of a player acting quickly on his hand, either by raising quickly or raising high, in order to aggressively play the hand. If a player has a set of trips in her/his hand and is worried about others catching up on her/him through the community cards, then s/he may decide to raise fast or play aggressively in order to stay ahead of the pack and not lose out on a good hand. In such a case, the player is said to be playing fast.
