When two or more fall into a sequence, they are known as connectors. This is a term that is used across all forms of poker and is valid on local as well as online venues. A card would be called a connector if it connects different ranks for e.g. a player has a hand that has 4-7. The cards that turn up on the flop are 3-5-6, which makes the sequence 3-4-5-6-7. While 3 is also a part of the sequence, it is 5 and 6 that are connecting 4 and 7, making them the connectors in this case.
