Catch perfect

Catch perfect is a term that is used to define the position of a player who requires two cards to create a strong winning hand, and upon drawing, gets those cards. Unlike catch up, catch perfect is considered when there are two cards in question and both the cards turn up on the draw.

For e.g. if a player has A-K as the cards in hand, in Texas Hold’em; the flop throws up J-6-8; then the turn throws in an ace with the river throwing in another, creating a set of three aces for the player, it is called catch perfect.

A catch perfect only occurs when the required cards turn up on the turn and river draws. If either one or both cards turns up during the flop, it is not considered as a catch perfect.
