Betting structure
The betting structure is basically the entire set of rules that governs the process of betting. The betting structure differs from one variation of poker to another, and includes everything from forced bets to limits to raise caps.
But despite the different variations of the game available, there is a basic betting structure available in poker, which ensures smooth play and increased security for players.
The basic betting structure of poker maintains that players need to act in turn, which is decided in clockwise order. The betting structure also requires that the first verbal action or declaration that he player makes is his final and now he cannot retract his action.
Until the first bet is made, players make check, or even open, wherein the first bet would be made. But after the first bet has been placed, players can only perform one of the following: fold, call or raise. All these actions are governed as per the betting structure of the game.
